30 Gifts For Foodies

After the great success of 30 Designer Gifts For The Geek On LBOI, I decided to whet the appetite of the foodie in me and set out on a quest to find affordable, quirky and fun gifts for foodies everywhere. With Kris Kringles and Secret Santas being planned as we speak, everyone is on the lookout for thoughtful, yet gifts that stand out. And there are many out there, which I quickly realized as soon as I started putting this post together. So today, I have rounded up 30 fun, affordable and delicious gifts for the foodie in your life. Whether it is your mum, your boyfriend, your best friend, your son or your favorite food blogger, there is something in this list for everyone. Gifts that will get you cooking or thinking about food, gifts that will make you smile and hungry too. Enjoy the list!

1. Ninjabread Men Cookie Cutters

Ninjabread Men

A set of 3 killer cookie cutters. Give your gingerbread a refresh and make these awesome Ninjabread cookies to hang on your christmas tree this year. I’ve got mine and can’t wait to make and decorate what will become an annual favorite in our home!

2. Yumbot Cupcake Mold

Yumbots

A set of 4 utterly cute silicone cupcake molds shaped like robots. With rotating heads, these would be winners at the breakfast table when the kids scoop up the cake and frosting with a spoon and also indulge in a bot fight!

3. Chocalator

Chocalator

I saw one of these in a delightful little store in Chatswood. This is a big calculator that looks and *drumroll* .. smells, like chocolate! And it is solar powered. A great stocking filler.

4. Wasabi Lip Balm

Wasabi Lip Balm

Sushi lovers rejoice! This lip balm has the flavour of wasabi without it’s brain numbing kick. I wonder what wasabi tastes and feels like if it doesn’t have that kick?

5. Salt & Pepper Robots

Salt Pepper Shakers

For geeks to lazy to pass the salt or the child in you that actually dreams of kitchen paraphernalia coming to life and serving you, these wind up salt and pepper bots are so cute!

6. Scanpan Spectrum Knives

Scanpan Spectrum Knives

I first saw these on Junior Masterchef and had to have them. Not only do they look fantastic in their bright candy colors, they are a good weight, comfortable and sharp. They come in utility and Santoku sizes and have an ingenius slipcase for the blade. Ideal picnic and camping companions, I have got several to give away as gifts.

7. Crabtree & Evelyn Noel Home Fragrance

8. Compact Cubic Kitchen Timer In White

Cubic Kitchen Timer

This quirky, futuristic kitchen timer is a bit dear but would make a perfect gift for your best foodie friend. A gorgeous looking gadget!

9. Condiment Gun

Condiment Gun

How useful would this be if a food fight broke out at the dinner table? A sauce dispensing gun is a hilarious and fun concept. I want one!

10. Sushezi Sushi Maker

Sushezi

I love Sushi but I never dreamt of making it at home until I saw one of these at a friend’s house. I got one and couldn’t believe how easy and mess-free it was to roll out amazing sushi in just about half an hour. If your foodie friend is obsessed with sushi, they will love you for this!

11. Foodie Tote Bag

Foodie Tote bag

This beautiful canvas tote is exactly what you need on your weekly haunts to the farmer’s markets.

12. Mango Cutter

Mango Cutter

Christmas and after is mango season in Australia when they peak and one can’t get enough of the firm, bright yellow, sweet flesh. A mango cutter would be handy to slice them quick enough for salsas and fruit salads.

13. Clotted Cream Fudge Tin

Cream Fudge

Toffee from Great Britain by Crabtree & Evelyn in a gorgeous vintage styles tin. Yummy!

14. Submarine Tea Sub

Tea Sub

I love the quirky concept of a yellow submarine brewing your tea as the tune of the song by the same name fills your head (this is purely voluntary of course!). Only drawback is that you would need a glass cup.

15. Ice Invaders

Ice Invaders

Fill, Freeze, Go! Little ice invaders in your drink this summer!

16. Calf & Half Milk Jug

Calf & Half Milk Jug

This jug is udderly creative and moo-valiciously fantastic. A great laugh at your next tea party!

I saw these online and my mind started thinking of ways to use them in my food photography. Perfect props for the food blogger.

18. Crumple Cups

Crumple Cups

Rob Brandt’s iconic crumple cups have been on my wishlist forever. They were extremely hard to find in Australia. I am ordering mine this week. They are absolutely beautiful, designed to mimic crushed paper cups.

19. Jute Baskets

Jute Baskets

These would be great to store onions and potatoes. They are huge, sturdy and rustic.

20. The Mighty Lunchskin

Used in bakeries throughout Europe, the mighty lunchskin is a sustainable alternative to plastic ziplock bags. Made of food safe, hygienic and dishwasher safe fabric, these comes in a variety of sizes and patterns. Featured on Oprah.

21. Kitchen Tea Towel

Fabulously chic screen printed linen for everyday kitchen use or to frame and hoist up above your breakfast table for the ultimate tribute to the foodie in you.

22. Paris Tote

Paris Tote

Foodies can never have enough of chic, canvas tote bags that portray their fascination for food and their commitment to going green. Am I right? Every single foodie I have met cannot help but drool over a good strong canvas tote design. I can just picture this beautiful tote swinging from the handles of a red bicycle with a crusty baguette poking out of one end and some fresh greens and colorful flowers out of the other.

23. Soy Egg Candles

Soy Egg Candles

100% Natural Soy Wax perfectly packaged in the quirkiest candle packaging I have ever seen.

24. Pastasaurus

T2 Xmas Stack

This stack has the perfect mix of Strawberries & Cream, Turkish Apple & Citrus Punch tisanes. Can be brewed hot or cold!

29. Ornate Cooling Rack

Most cooling wire racks I see are so boring. This is a breath of fresh air!

30. Keep Glam And Rock On

Keep Glam

There is a bit too much of the "Keep Calm And Carry On" mania going around. As cooks in a busy kitchen we need to be reminded that we are not just sweaty, overworked kitchen hands, but that we can be glamorous if we want and rock the life of a party! This poster will keep your spirits up!

I hope you have enjoyed this quirky and thoroughly affordable wishlist of Christmas gifts for the foodie in your life. Have you found a great foodie gift? Did this list make your life easier with buying ideas? Please leave us a comment and share.
