Win A Nestle Peters Overload Parlour Style Ice Cream Pack
I am a Peters fan. At any given time, a tub of Peters creamy vanilla ice cream sits on the top shelf of my freezer for that last minute cheat’s dessert. So when I was contacted to try out their new Overload range for summer, I jumped at the chance.

This is what Nestle has to say about Peters Overload on their website.
With 230% more stuff* mixed into the ice cream, PETERS Overload is a real mouthful! PETERS Overload will be available in three chunktastic flavours:
- Violet Crumble® has the flavour-full combination of choc coated chunks and honeycomb flavoured ice cream with a rich chocolate sauce swirled throughout; based on the popular NESTLÉ chocolate.
- Caramel Cookie Madness will see taste buds go crazy for the delectable vanilla ice cream mixed with gooey caramel sauce and soft cookie pieces.
- Rolo® based on the NESTLÉ chocolate favourite, is choc full of thick caramel sauce and chunky chocolate bits mixed into swirls of chocolate and caramel flavoured ice cream.
PETERS Overload will be available in 1.2L tubs at a RRP of $7.99 in supermarkets nationally from September 2010.
We had a mini tasting party at home with all 3 flavours scooped out in big bowls. The verdict was surprisingly varied. When I started scooping out the ice cream, I noticed straight away that it was light and fluffy, not dense and firm. The Violet Crumble was my favourite out of the 3 flavours. It had a bright, cheery colour and that nice English Toffee, Honeycomb flavour that I love so much. The crunchy, crumbly bits were a treat. My 2nd pick was the Rolo. It was creamy, chocolatey and fudgy with chocolate bits. I found the Caramel Cookie Madness flavour to be quite ordinary with the cookie dough bits the only interesting part of the ice cream. I would definitely buy Violet Crumble again. I just loved it.

Strictly speaking this wasn’t a single flavour. But a scoop of Peanut Butter and a scoop of Banana tastes crazy delicious.
The Violet Crumble one sounds yummy, but I would love ginger, macadamia & mango…and a bit of chocolate wouldn’t hurt, either!
Try candied bacon icecream…it sounds ridiculous but so sweet and almost a little salty at the same time…perfect for a nice Sunday morning!
Have tried pistachio & mango as a kid, doesnt sound like a perfect match and the different tastes combined really kicks in your taste buds, but the sound of vanilla with caramel sauce and cookie pieces sounds intriguing.
