A quick recipe for you guys today. It is a true classic and for those who have slow-cookers, I would recommend tossing all ingredients in them before you leave for work in the morning and let it slow-cook on low heat for 8 hours give or take few. I promise you, the hearty broth resulting from that slow meltdown and infusing of flavors will warm you to the core. I made this yesterday, when I had a ton of work to do. I forgot about it and it rewarded me by being a good soup that cooked itself to perfection. Dinner was very satisfying accompanied by crusty garlic ciabatta.

I think pea soup is one of my top 5 favorite soups. SO GOOD! I’ve never made it in a slow cooker before though, I’m always scared of leaving something on when I’m out of the house 🙁
